Public talks offer you an opportunity to find out more about Vipassana Meditation. Following the introductory talk and film screening there is an opportunity to ask questions and talk informally with experienced meditators. Public talks about Vipassana Meditation and other events are regularly scheduled to provide interested persons with information about the technique. Showings of documentary films, such as "Doing Time, Doing Vipassana", "The Dhamma Brothers" and "Changing From Inside" can also be organized. These films are about the teachings of Vipassana meditation in the prison systems of India and the United States and the remarkable results which were achieved in terms of changes in the attitudes and behaviour of the inmates who participated. An Open House is held annually at the Ontario Centre. During this time anyone is welcome to visit the centre. Walks are conducted around the property and there's an info talk with Question & Answer period following.
For groups and organizations who are interested, information sessions and showings of the documentaries (e.g. Doing Time, Doing Vipassana), can be arranged. Contact Ania or Irek at asis.dhamma@gmail.com to arrange talks. For introductory information on Vipassana Meditation, as taught by S.N.
